Starting in the late 1950's these were imported by Interarmco and then in 1984 under the Manurhin name itself. ![]() These pistols clearly said MADE IN FRANCE on the slides and were stamped MARK II. The very first of these pistols imported into the United States were brought in by the old Thalson Import Company of San Francisco. The PP series of pistols were still very sought after and Manurhin was granted a license in the early 1950's to begin manufacturing Walther pistols. After the end of WWII the Walther Company, like all German firearms makers, was prohibited from producing small arms. ![]() You will find that the Manurhin PP pistols are of excellent quality.
